Multilevel Converter and Fuzzy Logic Solutions for Improving Direct Control Accuracy of DFIG-based Wind Energy System

The purpose of this study is to enhance the accuracy direct power/torque control (DPC/DTC) applied back-to-back converters supplying a doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) based wind power system. Two solutions are proposed. first one increase degree freedom DTC and DPC by implementing three-level converters. Fuzzy logic second solution performances both conventional control, leading in decrease DFIG's torque/flux ripples active/reactive powers supplied grid side converter, consequently, reduce currents' total harmonic distortion (THD).
